NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult that occurred on Saturday, October 31, 2020 on the 11900 block of 168th Street, Artesia.
Deputies from the Lakewood Sheriff's Station responded to the location regarding a gunshot victim call. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. While at the location, they discovered a second victim, a male Hispanic juvenile suffering a gunshot wound to the lower torso.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital. The adult victim was pronounced deceased. The juvenile's injuries were non-life threatening.
It is unknown at this time if the victims were related.
Detectives are processing the scene for potential evidence and are attempting to locate witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
