The Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Class I Special Officer for the 2021 summer season. Applicants are required to be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a resident of New Jersey during the appointment term. Applicants must have a good reputation and be of sound moral character, possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license and undergo a complete background investigation. SLEO I certification is not required to apply for this position.

Interested applicants must submit an application, current resume, and the appropriate certifications (if applicable) to Detective Dan Liptak no later than Sunday November 8, 2020 at 12:00 hours. Applications must be picked up in person at Deal Police Headquarters; 190 Norwood Ave, Deal, NJ 07723.
