PG&E on site to stop the flow of gas due to a broken main located near the intersection of Petaluma Blvd and E Street.

PG&E is working to safely stop the flow of gas, after a construction crew, unrelated to PG&E, struck at 2” plastic main in downtown Petaluma.  This happened at about 10am near the intersection of E. Street and Petaluma Blvd.  Crews have been working with first responders to make the area safe and the Fire Department has conducted evacuations.

PG&E is working to squeeze three locations to stop the flow of gas safely and as quickly as possible. PG & E expects the flow of gas to be stopped within the next 30 minutes.  Gas service to customers has not been impacted.

Instructions:

Stay out of the area of Walnut Park: Petaluma Blvd S from C St to G St and 4th St. to 2nd St.
