City of Seward Reports Two New COVID-19 Cases From The Weekend PLUS Two New Cases On Monday, November 16, 2020

Seward, Alaska – Today, the City of Seward is reporting two new positive COVID-19 test results from the weekend, plus two new test results for Monday, November 16, 2020 from all local healthcare facilities.
 
COVID-19 is a widespread illness, and cases are increasing not only in Seward but all of Alaska. There is no one location that these cases are originating from. Please do your part to keep Seward strong and healthy by following these simple guidelines:

  • Wear a cloth face covering
  • Maintain your distance
  • Wash your hands often
  • Avoid crowded places and confined spaces
  • Stay home when sick 
Drive‐Through Testing Details:
  • Tuesday, November 17 – 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 417 First Ave. Seward, AK
  • Cars should line up on First Ave at the parking lot entrance
  • Recommended for people with known close contact to a COVID‐positive person
  • Wear a mask to the testing location
  • Bring your photo ID
  • Samples will be obtained with a nasal swab and sent to State lab for testing
  • Results could take 3‐7 days due to high volumes
  • Please practice patience and kindness
