As a reminder, the Canyon Road bridge is closed (7am - 5pm) today, Wed & Thurs for removal of the temporary bridge. 
The Canyon Road bridge is closed during the day (7am - 5pm) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the removal of the temporary bridge that was installed at the end of 2016. With two extremely large cranes and affiliated equipment, it is not safe to allow regular vehicular traffic on the new bridge during the removal process. Warning signs are in place for the project.
The Town has set up a system to open the bridge for emergency vehicle traffic that is responding to EMERGENCY INCIDENTS. If there is a need for fire or law enforcement emergency response across the bridge, when the construction crews are notified by 9-1-1 Dispatch, they will quickly open the bridge so that emergency vehicles can cross.
