LASD UPDATE Homicide Bureau Assisting El Monte PD with a Shooting Investigation at 10000 Valley Blvd, El Monte 
Sheriffs Homicide Investigators continue to assist El Monte Police Department in the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a Hispanic man in El Monte.
On Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 2:10 PM, officers from the El Monte Police Department responded to a motel in the 10000 block of Valley Boulevard regarding a call of shots fired and a gunshot victim at the scene. Upon arriving, the officers discovered the victim, a male in his 20’s, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect description and the murder weapon remains outstanding. This shooting is being investigated as gang related.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
