City of Seward Reports Four New COVID-19 Cases From The Weekend Plus Three New Cases From Today
Seward, Alaska – The City of Seward is reporting four new positive COVID-19 test results from over the weekend PLUS three new positive cases from today from all local healthcare facilities.
With the statewide rise in cases, residents of Seward and the surrounding community are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to consider taking proactive measures to prevent the spread of this disease over the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
In response to the increase in cases, the Seward Community Health Center is providing targeted drive‐through testing, and urges citizens to isolate if you have even mild symptoms of COVID and to get tested right away by contacting your healthcare provider. Drive-through testing is available at the SCHC:
- November 24 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- December 1-3 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Please do your part to keep Seward strong and healthy by following these simple guidelines:
- Wear a cloth face covering
- Maintain your distance
- Wash your hands often
- Avoid crowded places and confined spaces
- Stay home when sick, and get tested as soon as possible
- Quarantine if you are notified that you are a close contact to a person who tested positive, and get tested yourself
