UPDATE: Missing Adult – At Risk Located
Today, at 1:53 P.M., an employee from Casa Azteca called the Milpitas Police Department to report she saw a subject that looked like Mr. Ford in the parking lot of 120 N. Abel Street. The employee recognized Mr. Ford from a social media post requesting the public’s assistance in locating him.
Officers responded and found Mr. Ford who was alert and transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
The Milpitas Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in keeping an eye out for Mr. Ford and the alert employee who contacted Milpitas PD Dispatchers to provide his exact whereabouts.
We would also like to thank the Santa Clara County Sheriff Search and Rescue for their assistance during this investigation.

The Milpitas Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating an at-risk missing adult.
Today at 3:42 P.M., Shawn Allen Ford was reported as missing to the Milpitas Police Department.
Mr. Ford is a 60-year-old Caucasian male who was last seen leaving the Milpitas Care Center at 120 Corning Avenue in Milpitas around 1:55 P.M. this afternoon. Mr. Ford walked away from the Care Center and has not returned.
Mr. Ford was wearing a dark black or blue sweat suit and a grey baseball hat. He walks with a limp and cane, and has difficulty speaking. He is 5’2’’ tall, weighs about 180 lbs., and has blonde hair and green eyes.
Mr. Ford is considered at-risk as he suffers from a medical condition and may become disoriented. He does not have any identification or cell phone with him.
He was last seen at about 1:55 P.M. walking in a northbound direction on Corning Avenue toward Serra Way, near Big Lots.
