Funeral services will comply with all gathering and crowd size restrictions; however, a large amount of vehicles is anticipated to be participating in the funeral procession, including a number of Fire Apparatus and other emergency vehicles.

The Town of Fairfield salutes Captain Ackley for his service to our nation as a US Navy Veteran, for his 36 years of service with the Fairfield Fire Department and for his continued service to the Town of Fairfield in so many forms.

Captain Ackley served as a Fairfield Town Constable, Justice of the Peace, Fairfield Special Police Officer and was elected to the RTM for 5 terms. He was appointed to the Fairfield Fire Commission in November 2017 and was currently serving a one-year term as Chairman that began in December 2019.
