Advisory

Local Flooding and High winds today.

Here are the latest key messages for the upcoming system on Monday.
1. Rain, heavy at times, is expected from the early morning hours on Monday through the early afternoon. Urban, poor drainage, and small stream flooding will be possible with a marginal (1 out of 4) risk for the heavy rain to cause flash flooding.
2. There could be a brief lull before additional rain comes through around the mid afternoon to early evening time frame (roughly 3-7 PM) as a line of showers with some embedded thunderstorms possible. Locally damaging winds will be possible even in the absence of lightning and thunder. Also, along the coast winds will be quite strong through most of the day with gusts up to 50 mph likely.
3. Widespread minor tidal flooding is expected along the Delaware Bay with spotty minor flooding possible along the tidal Delaware River, Chesapeake Bay, and coastal areas.
4. Gale gusts (with gusts around 40kt) are expected on all the area waters during the day on Monday and could continue into Monday evening.
