HOLIDAY ADVISORY.
This holiday season, the San Marino Police Department encourages the community to make sure every celebration or gathering ends with a sober driver behind the wheel.
The San Marino Police Department will be on patrol looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. In addition, officers will be actively looking for other unsafe driving practices, such as speeding, distracted driving, failure to yield to pedestrians and bicyclists, and not wearing a seat belt. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a safe holiday season and returns home safely to their loved ones.
Between January 1, 2020 and October 31, 2020 there were 116 traffic collisions reported within the City of San Marino. Of those traffic collisions, 44 involved some sort of injury. We will be focusing our efforts in those areas of the city most impacted by these accidents.
The San Marino Police Department would also like to remind everyone to continue to practice social distancing, wear a facemask, and to wash your hands frequently. Doing these simple things may help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. For more information, visit http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/
