The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 6 AM PST Thursday morning until 6 PM PST late Friday afternoon. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 596 and 597, or Tehachapi mountains and the Fort Tejon area.
* WIND...Sustained easterly winds 15 to 25 mph, with gusts near 40 mph. Wind gusts near 50 mph are likely through and below mountain passes.
* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values 2 to 7 percent in the Fort Tejon area. Minimum relative humidity values 7 to 12 percent in the Tehachapi mountains.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
