State's Stay Home Order Effective Soon
We understand the current orders may be confusing; here is what's happening in Santa Clara County.
To curb the rapidly escalating surge in COVID hospitalizations, Santa Clara County has implemented the State's Regional Stay Home Order that starts 10PM Sunday, December 6, 2020, through Monday, January 4, 2021.
What changes? The Regional Stay Home Order prohibits private gatherings of any size, closes salons, barbershops, and personal service, while critical infrastructure and retail can remain open at 20% capacity, and requires 100% masking and physical distancing in all others. Restaurants must also close outdoor dining and may only operate take-out or delivery. Playgrounds and park restrooms will also be closed.
We want to remind residents that non-essential work, movement, and gatherings must stop between 10PM and 5AM. This will remain in effect until December 21, at 5AM.
