California Announces New Regional Stay at Home Order

As COVID-19 hospitalizations surge and ICU capacity declines, California has announced a new Regional Stay at Home Order for our region, beginning on December 6 at 11:59 p.m. The order will remain in effect for at least three weeks.

The order requires modified operations for outdoor recreational facilities, shopping centers, retail, hotels, restaurants and offices.

Indoor and outdoor playgrounds, indoor recreational facilities, hair salons and barbershops, personal care services, museums, movie theaters, wineries, bars, family entertainment centers, amusement parks and other select sectors must be closed.

With the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across Los Angeles County, it's important that we slow the spread of infection. Staying home whenever possible, wearing a face mask, washing your hands frequently and practicing social distancing by not gathering with those outside of your household can have a meaningful impact at mitigating the additional spread of COVID-19.

For more information, please read this resource from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
