The Lakeport Police Department is currently investigating occurrences of Illegal Hunting at the Lakeport Waste Water Treatment Facility located on Linda Lane in South Lakeport. There has been an increase in this activity as reported by neighbors, who have heard gunshots, and facility workers, who have found evidence of this activity, especially during weekend days. Anyone with information about current or previous illegal hunting activities at that location is encouraged to contact the LPD @ 263-5491, option 1, and report it!! This crime is very serious and poses a significant danger to nearby residents.
