Deputies served a search warrant and arrested Monica Taylor of Adelanto for identity theft and grand theft

SUSPECT: Monica Taylor, 35 year-old resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, November 22, 2020, deputies from the Highland Station responded to several calls of mail theft which occurred overnight in the city of Highland. Through investigation, video surveillance was obtained from residents and showed an unknown suspect, exiting a silver Audi A4 and stealing mail from various mailboxes. The vehicle was found to be registered to Monica Taylor, in the city of Adelanto.
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, a search warrant was served at Taylor's residence in the city of Adelanto. Located inside the residence was evidence indicative of mail theft as well as evidence of local, state and federal level fraud. At the conclusion of the investigation, Taylor was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
