MERIDIAN POLICE ARREST FUGITIVE
On Wednesday, December 9, at 2:30PM Meridian Police Officers initiated an arrest of thirty-nine (39) year old Sean MANEES of Kuna, who had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant, outside a business on the 3000 block of E. Pine Avenue. MANEES attempted to flee on foot and Meridian Officers deployed a K9, which successfully apprehended MANEES.
Police were actively seeking MANEES after an incident that occurred on December 1 at 7:54PM, when Meridian Officers initiated a traffic stop on a black BMW near the Chinden Blvd and N Linder Rd intersection. The driver, MANEES, fled at a high rate of speed exceeding 90 miles per hour while almost hitting multiple vehicles. While on pursuit, MANEES intentionally struck a Meridian officer’s patrol vehicle. Meridian Officers successfully executed a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) on the suspect’s vehicle, however MANEES continued to flee on foot. Officers were unable to locate MANEES.
MANEES was transported to a local hospital for his injuries related to the arrest. Once MANEES is released from the hospital he will be booked into Ada County Jail for the following charges:
One (1) count felony trafficking methamphetamine, one (1) count felony parole violation, one (1) count felony eluding a police officer, one (1) count felony battery on an officer, two (2) counts misdemeanor resisting and obstructing a police officer, and one (1) count misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
