With 2-5'' of snow predicted for the local area, a snow emergency has been issued for Ely, Iowa effective 4:00am Saturday December 12th through 10:00pm Saturday December 12th. Parking is not permitted on streets, alleys or public parking lots until the emergency has been lifted or expired. The parking ban allows City crews to safely and efficiently clear the roads.
