Last night on Ward Lane in Riverdale, a murder suspect identified as Twanetta Griffey shot and killed a man, and then shot his daughter injuring her critically.  Griffey then chased and attempted to shoot the victim’s sister when a Sheriff’s Deputy intervened and shot Griffey.

The victim’s sister thanked and acknowledged the Sheriff’s Deputy for saving her life. The Sheriff’s Office is proud that the Deputy involved in this incident lived up to the Sheriff’s motto of “defending those who cannot defend themselves”.   Anyone requesting further details of the Deputy involved shooting must contact the G.B.I. who is investigating the shooting.

Griffey was treated and released from a local hospital and is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail better known to all as “The Hill-ton”.
