The USFS has plans to burn 5 acres of hand piles within the Big Jack East project area today, December 15th.  Smoke may settle into the Martis Valley area or other lower elevation areas at night and into the morning as cool air sinks, but will clear out as daytime temperatures rise.   If successful, this will finish up the burning of hand pile units at Big Jack East.
