The Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating a two-vehicle fatal collision on Bear Valley Rd.

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road west of Multnomah Road, Town of Apple Valley
INVOLVED VEHICLE (1): Silver 2005 Ford Taurus driven by a 26-year-old female
INVOLVED VEHICLE (2): Silver 2002 Toyota Camry driven by a 54-year-old male
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at approximately 10:42 P.M., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department and emergency personnel from both the Apple Valley Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision on Bear Valley Road west of Multnomah Road in the Town of Apple Valley.
Through preliminary investigation, it is believed that a silver 2005 Ford Taurus was westbound on Bear Valley Road approaching Multnomah Road. For an unknown reason, the Taurus crossed over the two-way left turn lane and into the eastbound lanes of Bear Valley Road. The Taurus collided head-on with a silver 2002 Toyota Camry which was traveling east on Bear Valley Road in the number one lane.
As a result of the collision, the drivers of both vehicles were pronounced deceased at the scene. A four-year-old female passenger in the Taurus and a 31-year-old female passenger in the Camry were flown to local trauma centers for treatment.
