On December 16, 2020, an elderly Shorewood resident was the victim of an armed robbery in the 2000 block of E. Jarvis St. At approximately 8:25 pm, the victim was entering his vehicle when a dark colored sedan parked behind him. A male subject and a female subject then exited that vehicle and approached the victim asking for directions. The male suspect then produced a handgun and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. When the victim did not immediately surrender the keys, the male suspect pushed the victim to the ground. The suspect then obtained the keys from the victim and used the keys to steal the victim’s vehicle. The female suspect then entered the suspect vehicle and both vehicles fled the scene eastbound on Jarvis.

The victim sustained minor injuries to his head and thumb from being pushed to the ground during this incident.

The investigation of this incident is ongoing and no other details regarding the incident can be released at this time.
