FINAL WINTER STORM UPDATE: DECEMBER 17, 5:45PM

Thanks to our Public Works, Police, and Fire Departments for their hard work over the past 24 hours to ensure public safety related to this storm. Thankfully, no injuries or power outages were reported. The DPW did a wonderful job clearing the Town’s 380 roads overnight and throughout the day today, in addition to the municipal parking lots and Town sidewalks. We are grateful for their hard work.

Leaf collection will resume on Friday in Zones 6 and 10, and will continue next week until the second pass is complete. This will be followed by a third pass and street sweeping as weather permits. 

As a reminder, all sidewalks must be cleared by property owners within 24 hours after the snow has stopped falling. Thanks to the many residents and businesses who have already done so. 

We are also grateful to everyone who moved their cars off of the streets. Since we had some residual leaf piles still requiring pickup, we did not issue tickets for street parking during this storm, but we will do so in the future in order to keep the roads clear for the plows.

The Conservation Center will be open on Friday from 9:00 - 2:30 and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 - 3:00 to close out the season. Hours of operation will resume every Saturday in January, beginning on January 2.

As noted yesterday, Ward 4 recycling will be picked up on Friday, December 18.
