The Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Eucalyptus Street / A Avenue, Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On December 13, 2020, at approximately 3:02 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station, along with San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel, responded to the intersection of Eucalyptus Street and A Avenue for a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and sedan. Deputies and Fire personnel arrived on scene and the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased. The driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries and was treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene.
The Hesperia Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded and assumed the investigation. Preliminary evidence indicates the sedan was traveling eastbound on Eucalyptus Street, while the motorcycle was southbound on A Avenue. The driver of the sedan failed to stop at the stop sign controlled intersection and as the sedan entered the intersection, the motorcycle collided into the sedan.
The collision remains under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy J. Bray from the Hesperia Station.
