City of Watervliet, NY Snow Emergency Has Begun! (Update- 8:20am)
UPDATE (highlighted below):
Snow Emergency has begun for today, 12/19. Residents are to move their vehicles when a police officer directs them to. If not, their vehicle will towed (at the owners expense) and ticketed. Total fees are $300 ($200 for the tow and $100 parking ticket).
Today's operation will begin on 10th Ave (between 19th St & 25th St) and 11th Ave (between 24th St and 25th St). 26th, 25th, 24th, and 23rd Streets will also be completed this morning! Once these streets are finished, crews will move to clearing all "Avenues" between 10th St and 19th Street. Following the "Avenues" will be the "Streets" north of the Arsenal. Unfortunately, we do not know when we will be in your neighborhood. This is because crews are encountering frequent delays with having to tow snow covered vehicles.
URGENT: Due to large equipment being utilized, THERE WILL BE NO PARKING ON 15th STREET BEGINNING TODAY FROM 8am TO 4pm.
If you vehicle has been towed, please come to WPD today or tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm, to receive further instructions.
Instructions:
All vehicles must be removed from city streets when plows arrive on your block. No parking on 15th St.
