Three vehicles were reported stolen in Shorewood in the last two days. Please remember to remove keys and lock your vehicle.
The Shorewood Police Department is investigating three vehicle thefts which occurred over the weekend.
A 2017 Hyundai Elantra was taken from the 3500 block of Murray Ave sometime between 7 pm on Friday, 12/18 and 10:30 am Saturday, 12/19.
A 2016 Kia Optima was taken from a driveway on the 2100 block of Menlo Blvd. sometime between 3:00 pm on Friday, 12/18 and 11:30 am on Saturday, 12/19. Broken glass was found at the scene.
A 2007 Honda Civic was taken from the 3700 block of Morris Blvd. sometime between 6:30 pm on Saturday, 12/19 and 10:30 am on Sunday, 12/20. This vehicle may have been taken with a spare key which was kept inside.
Please remember to remove keys from your vehicle and ensure that it is locked after parking it. For those who own newer model Kia and Hyundai vehicles, these may be specifically being targeted as part of an ongoing rash of thefts of these types of vehicles in the Milwaukee area.
