US Highway 12 is closed between Hillcrest Road in Ogden Dunes and Lake Street in Gary due to a train derailment. The railroad crossing at US Highway 12 and Porter / Lake County Line Road is also closed. We currently anticipate this closure to last for the next 24 to 36 hours. The railroad crossing into Ogden Dunes is not affected.
