For over 30 years, the Arroyo Grande Police Department has been proud to sponsor Santa Cop for the children of our community. This is only made possible through a partnership with Walmart and generous contributions from community members. This year’s event was different from past years, as it was the first time children were not able to meet with Santa Cop to receive their gifts.
2020 has been a year like no other. During these challenging times it is sometimes too easy to overlook the personal hardships of others. Through the donations to the Santa Cop program, police officers and elves were able to fill wish lists from several local children who faced uncertainty during this holiday season. We are proud to have been able to help bring a little bit of happiness these children.
The Santa Cop program is only possible through donations from those who have found it in their hearts to help struggling families. Officers with the Arroyo Grande Police Department are grateful to each and every one of the donations, which ensure continued success of the Santa Cop program.
