Covid19 Lawsuit Filed Against The Clayton County Jail Thrown Out Of Court In It’s Entirety!
SHERIFF VICTOR HILL
The case, Jones v. Hill, that was brought in U.S. Northern District Court for the state of Georgia, by the Southern Center for Human Rights and the American Civil Liberties Union has been thrown out of court in its entirety by a Federal Judge. The two organizations and a local Clayton County news source attempted to paint a false narrative that the Clayton County Jail had a Covid19 “outbreak” and went as far to allege that a inmate died in the jail from Covid19. The head doctor of the jail (Dr. Clopton) was able to show proof that the infection rate was actually as low as 0.5% and that no one in the Clayton County Jail has died from Covid19.
The Sheriff’s decision to keep the Clayton County Jail fully operational to keep Clayton County safe during the height of the COVID-19 crisis went against the political grain. Jurisdictions across the country responded to the Covid19 crisis by immediately releasing large numbers of inmates into the general public and refusing to accept inmates unless it was for major felonies. All of the jurisdictions that did this experienced significant increases in crime.
The para-military Clayton County Jail, affectionately referred to as “The Hill-ton”, is not only known as the the most disciplined jail in the world, but also as the cleanest. Both supporters and critics alike have both agreed that it is the only jail reference to as one being able to eat off of it floors. All able bodied inmates are required to clean up daily and inmates are now even required to paint their own cells (see below pictures) if it needs to be done!
By keeping the jail fully functional while following COVID-19 safety guidelines, Clayton County has not only the bragging rights of a very low infection rate at the jail , but also a notable decrease in crime!
