Please be advised that as a state park, personal fireworks are strictly prohibited on Jekyll Island, including in any public spaces or private homes.
Consumer fireworks include, but are not limited to:
- Bottle Rockets
- Sky Rockets
- Roman Candles
- Firecrackers
- Sparklers
- Novelties, etc.
Commercial fireworks permits are available to licensed fireworks companies and must be obtained from the Jekyll Island Authority in advance.
If you witness fireworks in use, please alert the incident to the Georgia State Patrol by calling 911. There will be an increased patrol presence on New Year's Eve.
