...New Years Winter Storm Possible ... .Another round of wintry precipitation will occur across south central Kansas, this time in the form of snow. Snow will begin the night of New Years Eve and last until the early afternoon New Years Day.
* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Isolated snow totals of 5 to near 6 inches possible in extreme Eastern Barber County. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Pratt, Comanche and Barber Counties.
* WHEN...From 9 PM Thursday to 3 PM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
