Winter Storm Watch in effect for Pekin area thru Friday Afternoon. 
National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Pekin until Friday Afternoon January 1, 2021. Ice is expected. Please be alert to snow plows. Street Department is asking residents to plan for alternate parking other than the street so that they can salt without any incidents. One should have an alternate parking plan along snow routes should we get two or more inches of snow. A weather watch indicates the potential for severe or damaging weather conditions.
