Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 12/31/2020 at approximately 2042 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near the intersection Cassopolis Rd and Grange St, Mason Township, Cass County Michigan.


Investigation shows that 36 year old, Cassopolis resident, Stephanie Cory, was traveling northbound on Cassopolis Rd. Ms. Cory traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. Ms. Cory was ejected from the vehicle and was the only occupant. Ms. Corey was transported to South Bend Memorial for serious injuries.



Seat belts were not used and no airbags were deployed. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor. Assisting in this crash includes Edwardsburg Police Department, Porter Fire and EMS.
