Hazardous Weather Outlook. SHERIFF VICTOR HILL

While the majority of the area remains in the Marginal Risk for severe weather for Friday, January 1, 2021,  there is greater confidence in several possible rounds of isolated severe storms from the morning into afternoon/evening. The main threats remain damaging wind, a few brief tornadoes, and flash flooding. Saturday has a Marginal Risk of severe weather for southeastern central GA with a stalled front and another disturbance. This area could see isolated damaging winds again along with heavier rainfall/flash flooding.

New Years Day (Friday)

What: Damaging winds, a few isolated brief tornadoes, and heavy rainfall leading to isolated flash flooding

When: Morning with a retreating wedge of cool air/warm front pushing northward

Afternoon/evening as cold front/disturbance slowly pushes eastward

Where: North and central GA

Saturday

What: Damaging winds and heavy rainfall leading to isolated flash flooding
