As previously noticed, those who wish to dispose of old garbage cans may do so on any trash pickup day in January.  If you would like the Borough to remove your old garbage cans, please place them next to the black 95 gallon garbage cart on any trash day in January.  The Department of Public Works will dump the black garbage cart and return it to the curb-any old garbage cans placed for collection with the black cart will be collected and disposed of with trash.  Due to the fact that the last garbage pickup occured Saturday, December 26th overflow bags that would not fit into the black 95 gallon garbage cart will be accepted for this pickup only.  Going forward, all garbage must be placed in the black garbage cart. 

If overflow trash is placed in old garbage cans next to the black garbage carts on this Thursday's pickup it will be assumed that the old garbage can is being disposed of and the old can will be collected along with the trash!  If you do not wish to dispose of your old garbage cans, simply place your overflow trash in tied bags neatly next to the 95 gallon black garbage cart!
