January 6, 2021 Knowlton Township Coronavirus Vaccine Update
This week Warren County is reporting an additional 316 cases of Covid-19 since last week, for an average of 45 cases per day and a positivity rate of 16.2%. Local hospitals are seeing an increase in admittance, but in Warren County, there remains Intensive Care Unit capacity of approximately 35%. Knowlton has had 104 cases with 94 recoveries. Knowlton has seen a recent increase in cases. Since December 23, there have been 15 additional cases, which are not affiliated with any longterm care facility.

Volunteers are needed for the Medical Reserve Corps, a community-based volunteer unit of medical professionals who can assist the County Health Department with distribution of vaccines. Although people with medical training and licenses are urgently needed, people with clerical and other skills are also needed. Governor Murphy has announced that police and fire personnel are now eligible to receive Covid-19 vaccinations as part of Phase 1A.
The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will be administered this Thursday and Friday (January 7 and 8, 2021) through the Warren County Health Department at North Warren Regional High School for Phase 1A workers. Phase 1A workers include:
- Police and fire personnel
- Hospital workers
- LTC workers
- Veteran's home workers
- Home care workers
- Ambulatory and urgent care clinic workers
- Dialysis center workers
- Dental office workers
- Morticians and funeral homeworkers
- Pharmacy workers
- Other non-hospital healthcare facilities workers
- Public health workers (e.g. FQHCs)
- Group home workers
- Other paid and unpaid licensed and unlicensed healthcare workers
