Subject: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
At approximately 9:50am, a car-to-car shooting occurred in 1100 block of Meadows Ave. A Manhattan Beach Patrol Officer witnessed the shooting and followed the suspect vehicle. With the assistance of several outside agencies, a felony traffic stop was conducted in the area of 2nd Street and Redondo Ave. Two suspects were taken into custody as well as two guns were recovered. There are no outstanding suspects. The victim vehicle fled the area. We are currently checking local hospitals for any victims. Please avoid these areas as our investigation continues.
Our early social media posts indicated four suspects were taken into custody. This was incorrect information. There were only two suspects in the suspect vehicle and both were arrested. Again, there are no outstanding suspects.
