We're looking for the public's help with any witnesses to a death investigation. 
On January 9, 2021, at about 0853 hours, National City Officers responded to the east alley of the 400 block of “E” Avenue, to investigate a report of a dead body located in the alley. Officers and medics arrived on scene and found the decedent lying on the pavement in the alley. Medics determined that the victim was already deceased and no life saving measures were attempted. The death appeared suspicious and detectives were called out to investigate.
The decedent was later identified as Michael Abboud (43-year-old National City resident). See the attached photograph.
