Richard Romero, Jr., of Highland, was arrested for possession of child pornography

SUSPECT(S): Richard Romero Jr, 41-year-old, resident of Highland
SUMMARY: Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Highland Station, began an investigation into the downloading and possession of child pornography. Through investigation, it was confirmed that child pornography was downloaded to a residence in the city of Highland.
On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, personnel from the Highland Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant at a residence on the 26800 block of 9th Street in the city of Highland. Through investigation, it was determined Richard Romero Jr. was in possession of child pornography. At the conclusion of the investigation, Romero Jr. was arrested for possession of child pornography. Romero Jr. was subsequently booked into Central Detention Center.
