Napa County Begins Scheduling COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments for Individuals 75+; 65+ Will Be Next Priority Group
The County is moving swiftly through the COVID-19 vaccination Phase 1a and its tiers. As this phase nears completion, Napa County has begun scheduling COVID-19 vaccination appointments for Phase 1b individuals 75 and older. Individuals 65 to 75 will be the next group prioritized to receive the vaccine.
Napa County has created an online Phase 1 Covid-19 Vaccine Interest Form. Direct link: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/501be721c77f4d44b00d9c3811637811
This interest form allows those in Phase 1b to express their interest, identify their eligibility, and provide their contact information to the County. Individuals will then be informed about where they may obtain a vaccination as eligibility expands and vaccination supplies from the state allow. It is not a vaccination appointment; it is a tool to eventually schedule a vaccination appointment.
There is a tremendous amount of interest and vaccine supplies remain limited. At this time, the County’s vaccination clinics are invitation-only and are accessed by scheduled appointments. Please do not go to a clinic unless you have an appointment. Proof of age and address in Napa County will be required at the time of appointment (any form of ID will be accepted).
While the County deploys vaccination clinics, Napa County healthcare providers, including pharmacies, private doctors and clinics are registering with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to become vaccinators.
As the County moves into Phase 1b, vaccine rollout continues to be determined by vaccine availability. COVID-19 vaccines are allocated from the state. All counties, including Napa, are allocated a limited supply of vaccine at this time. It is uncertain from week to week how much vaccine will be made available to the county, which limits the availability of appointments even as eligibility expands. The success of the County’s phased, tiered vaccination plan depends on the public’s patience in allowing priority groups to be vaccinated in order. As vaccine becomes more plentiful, additional appointments will become available, and eligibility will open up to other groups.
