Strong Winds Advisory

Strong winds have taken over the Santa Clarita Valley, with a red flag warning issued until 10PM tonight, and high winds expected to last until tomorrow morning.

Several power outages have been reported, with various traffic lights out on Soledad Canyon Road, between Commuter Way and Langslide Avenue, among several other parts of the Santa Clarita Valley.

If you come to a signal that is out, please come to a complete stop and proceed with caution. Failure to do so may result in a citation.

Public Safety Power Shutoffs are also being considered by SoCal Edison. If your power is shut off during this time, please have a safety plan in place. A community crew vehicle offering light snacks, water and resiliency devices is available at 3748 Nickels Street in Acton today until 1/20/21, between 8AM - 10PM. A community resource center is open at the Agua Dulce Women’s Club located at 33201 Agua Dulce Canyon Road in Agua Dulce, today until 1/20/21, between 8AM - 10PM

Lastly, if you see downed power lines, please report the location immediately and stay clear of the area. Stay safe!
