Larry Lopez, a resident of Monrovia, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm

DATE/TIME: January 12, 2021 / 11:18 a.m.

INCIDENT: PC29800(A)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm

LOCATION: 7400 block of Vineyard Avenue

SUSPECT: Larry Antonio Lopez, 46-years-old from Monrovia

SUMMARY:

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at approximately 11:18 a.m., Corporal Sanchez from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Station responded to Red Hill Park for a request for extra patrol. While conducting the extra patrol Cpl. Sanchez located a gold Nissan Altima. The vehicle was occupied with two subjects that never got out to visit any areas of the park.

Cpl. Sanchez made contact with the subjects, a female driver and a male passenger. The male passenger, identified as Larry Lopez, was discovered to have previous felony convictions. During a search of the vehicle, Cpl. Sanchez located a six-inch fixed knife, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded .45 Caliber Ruger pistol.

Lopez was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC29800(A)(1) Felon In Possession of a Firearm.
