Crime Blotter for the Week of January 10-16, 2021

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of January 10, 2021– January 16, 2021.        
 
January 10, 2021

  • Grand Theft Auto:
A victim reported their vehicle stolen near the 1000 Block of Huntington Drive. The victim’s Infiniti JX35 was stolen on 01-10-21 between 3:00 pm and 5:05 pm. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The vehicle is still outstanding.
 
January 11, 2021
  • Burglary (Vehicle):
A victim reported a theft near the 1600 Block of Mountain Avenue. The victim stated on 01-11-21, between 2:50 pm and 3:50 am, unknown persons shattered the rear driver’s side window to her vehicle and stole a shopping bag containing miscellaneous clothing. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $35.
 
January 12, 2021
  • Spousal Assault:
A victim of domestic violence reported an incident near the 2000 Block of Mountain Avenue. The suspect left the residence before the Deputies arrival and is still outstanding.
 
January 13, 2021
  • Petty Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported that their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 1300 Block of Royal Oaks Drive. The robbery occurred between 01-11-21, 5:00 pm, and 01-13-21, 5:00 pm. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2001 Honda Accord. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $665.
 
January 14, 2021
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Firearm):
An assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 1300 Block of Huntington Drive. A victim advised that a male adult pointed a black handgun at him in a threatening manner. Deputies arrested the suspect at the location. Deputies did not locate the firearm.
  • Grand Theft (Attempt, Catalytic Converter):
Attempted theft of a catalytic converter was reported near the 2300 Block of Maynard Drive. The victim stated on 01-14-21 at 6:30 am, he heard a loud noise near his vehicle. The victim said as he approached his vehicle, he saw an unknown male under his car. When the victim yelled at the male, the male ran to the passenger side of a white, four-door Ford sedan and drove out of view. The victim looked under his vehicle and noticed his catalytic converter had been cut but not taken. A license plate to the suspect’s vehicle was obtained. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video.

January 15, 2021
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 2200 Block of Huntington Drive. The theft occurred between 01-10-21, 7:00 pm, and 01-15-21 10:46 am. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2005 Toyota Sequoia. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $6,000.
  • Grand Theft Auto:
A victim reported their vehicle stolen near the 1800 Block of Delford Avenue. The victim’s Kia Rio was stolen on 01-29-21, between 12:00 pm and 5:05 pm. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The vehicle is still outstanding.
  • Grand Theft Auto:
A victim reported their vehicle stolen near the 900 Block of Swiss Trials Road. The victim’s Suzi GXSR was stolen between 01-08-21, 7:30 pm, and 01-15-21, 8:00 pm. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The vehicle is still outstanding.
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 1100 Block of Bradbourne Avenue. The theft occurred between 01-14-21, 7:00 pm, and 01-15-21 3:30 pm. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2009 Honda Element. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $5,000.
 
January 16, 2021
  • No significant activity.
CRIME PREVENTION TIP
 
Vehicle Thefts:
  • If you have a garage, use it. Park your vehicle inside your garage when possible. Remember to lock the doors to the both the garage and cars inside.
  • Don’t leave your vehicle running and unattended, even to dash into a store or business for just a minute.
  • Close the windows completely and lock the doors when parking the vehicle.
  • Install an anti-theft alarm system.
  • Be proactive and watch for people acting suspiciously.
