A known subject was arrested for his involvement in a residential burglary, receiving stolen property, identity theft, and unauthorized use of an access card. On 12/02/2020, a Camarillo Patrol deputy was dispatched to the 1700 Block of North Fenmore Avenue regarding a residential burglary and theft from a vehicle. In speaking with the victims, the deputy determined a suspect entered the victim’s garage and took property. The suspect then made fraudulent transactions using the victim’s credit card information to obtain goods. A separate victim in the same neighborhood reported items were taken from their vehicle. Similarly, the victim had fraudulent transactions on their credit cards. Camarillo detectives followed up with the victims and began their investigation. Their investigation ultimately led to the identification of, (S) David Morrison as being responsible for the burglary, receiving stolen property, identity theft and fraudulent use of access cards. Morrison was later located in the city of Ventura and arrested for his involvement in aforementioned crimes. A search warrant was obtained and executed at Morrison’s residence in Ventura. As a result of the search warrant, additional evidence was located further implicating Morrison’s involvement his criminal activity. Morrison is currently incarcerated at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $50,000 bail awaiting trial. |
