Fatal Hit and Run Collision on Woodside Road

On Saturday, January 23rd, 2021, at approximately 5:52 PM, Redwood City Police Officers responded to a report of a person down in the roadway at 1709 Woodside Road. Officers arrived on scene and located the elderly, female victim lying on her side in the number two lane of eastbound Woodside Road. The victim was unconscious and not responsive. Officers immediately began life-saving measures on the victim, who was transported by medics to Stanford Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
There were no witnesses located at the scene, and the suspect and vehicle are unknown and outstanding at this time.
