Advisory

Flash Flood Watch for Sonoma County.

There are NO evacuations at this time. This is information only about storm hazards.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Sonoma County. This will likely by upgraded to a flash flood warning later tonight. This means debris flows, landslides, and flooding may occur. If a flash flood warning is issued, the National Weather Service will send alerts using NOAA Weather Radios, the Emergency Alert System, and the Wireless Emergency Alert system.

There is no immediate need to evacuate. However, this may become a life-threatening situation for anyone within or downstream from the Kincade, Walbridge, Meyers, and Glass Fire burn scars. If you feel the need to leave, now is the opportunity to go safely. We recommend you charge your cell phones and stay aware of your surroundings. Consider your household’s needs, such as mobility concerns or large animals.

Be alert for possible danger due to erosion, debris flows, rock falls, and land movement. Current weather conditions may cause power outages preventing additional notification. Monitor local radio stations for information in the event of power failure.

Call 2-1-1 or visit socoemergency.org if you have any questions. Please don't call dispatch or 9-1-1 unless you need help. Thank you and be safe, Sonoma County.
