Weapons and Narcotics uncovered during motor vehicle stop 
SUBJECT: Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Weapon and Narcotic Charges

LOCATION: Rt. 18 in Ocean Township
ACCUSED: Ellis Washington 51 year old male of Eatontown, NJ
NARRATIVE: On January 26th, 2021 at approximately 9:18 pm Officer Charles Weinkofsky conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations on Rt. 18 north. Upon making contact with the driver, Ellis Washington, he observed marijuana inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Mr. Ellis was also found to be in possession of a knife and placed under arrest. He was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ellis was processed and released on a criminal summons pending an initial court appearance.
