INCIDENT: Evacuation Warning/Flooding

LOCATION: Yucaipa - Eldorado/Apple burn scar area

SUMMARY: UPDATE, Friday, January 29, 2021
Effective at 3:00 p., the #EvacuationWarning was lifted for the following communities: Mountain Home Village, northeast Yucaipa, and Oak Glen.

Effective at 8:00 am Friday, the #EvacuationOrder has been downgraded to a #EvacuationWarning. The warning is still in effect due to rain predicted for the remainder of the day.

Thank You to those who evacuated promptly.

UPDATE: Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., an Evacuation Order was issued for the following communities due to the potential for flooding and debris flow based on expected rainfall with the incoming storm: Mountain Home Village, northeast Yucaipa and Oak Glen. These areas are of concern due to the El Dorado/Apple Fire burn scar.

Community of Oak Glen - the evacuation route is west or south on Oak Glen Road.

Northeast Yucaipa, east of Bryant Street and north of Date Avenue - the evacuation route is north on Bryant Street or west Oak Glen Road.

The community of Mountain Home Village - the evacuation route is west on State Hwy 38.

Red Cross has opened a Reception Center at the Redlands East Valley High School located at 31000 E. Colton Avenue, Redlands (571) 595-7771.

The Devore Animal Shelter located at 19777 Shelter Way in San Bernardino is accepting large animals.

Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an Evacuation Warning was issued for the following communities due to the potential for flash flooding based on expected rainfall with the incoming storm: Mountain Home Village, northeast Yucaipa and Oak Glen. These areas are of concern due to the El Dorado/Apple Fire burn scar.

The Red Cross will be virtual during the Evacuation Warning and available by calling 571-595-7771.
