Emergency Rental Assistance Program for Orange County Renters 
Beginning Monday, February 1, eligible Costa Mesa residents who are struggling to make their rent or utility payments because of COVID-19 can take advantage of an Emergency Rental Assistance program being offered by the County of Orange, California.
Households can apply for as much as $10,000 in assistance if they qualify for the program. To prove eligibility applicants must have:
- Photo identification
- Copy of a lease or rental agreement
- Proof of income affected by COVID 19 (i.e .unemployment letter or letter from employer stating reduced hours or pay)
- Proof of unpaid rent and/or utilities (i.e. documentation from a landlord or utility company stating the amount owed)
