Advisory

A winter storm warning is in effect for Burr Ridge from 01/30 - 01/31.

Burr Ridge is under a Winter Storm Warning from Saturday afternoon through Sunday with forecasts for 6 to 9 inches of heavy, dense snow and gusting winds.  The National Weather Service urges only essential travel on Saturday evening with the rapidly accumulating snowfall expected.

Public Works trucks will keep main roads passable overnight and assist emergency services wherever needed.  Our trucks will clear neighborhood streets after daybreak on Saturday, then continually work to salt and plow until all operations are completed.  Due to the expected rate and timing of snowfall, streets will likely remain snow covered until early Sunday afternoon.

Please refrain from parking on streets so that plow trucks can operate efficiently.  Also, with this added snowfall, kindly assist your Burr Ridge neighbors by 1) clearing the plowed snow from their driveways, 2) avoid pushing your snow onto streets, and 3) shoveling around fire hydrants.

If you need medical assistance or have an emergency, call 9-1-1. To report a damaged mailbox, call 630-654-8181 for Village assistance. Continue to monitor NOAA Weather Radio or other local news channels for timely information from the National Weather Service.
